Terms and conditions

Last updated 14 September 2026

These terms explain how working with Trifid Media through the Content Hub works: your status as a contractor, how you're paid, who owns the work, and what we expect from each other.

01About these terms

The Trifid Content Hub (the Hub) is operated by Trifid Media, a creative agency based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Trifid, we, us). These terms apply to everyone who applies to or works through the Hub as an editor or producer (you).

By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't register. Where a project brief or a separate written agreement with us sets a different rule, that rule applies to that project.

02Eligibility and your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract where you live.
  • The information in your account and application must be accurate and yours. One person, one account.
  • Keep your password private. Don't share your account or let anyone else work through it. You're responsible for activity on your account.
  • You must confirm your email address before your application can be reviewed.

03Applications and approval

Applying doesn't guarantee a place. We review applications by hand and may approve or reject any application at our discretion, including based on how many editors and producers we need at the time. We don't always give reasons for a decision.

Until your account is approved you can only see your application status. Approval gives you access to the Hub; it doesn't guarantee any minimum amount of work.

04Independent contractor status

You work with Trifid as an independent contractor, not as an employee, partner or agent. Nothing in these terms creates an employment relationship. That means:

  • You aren't entitled to a salary, benefits, leave, end-of-service gratuity, visa sponsorship or other employee entitlements.
  • You decide how and where you work, as long as the result matches the brief and the deadline.
  • You provide your own equipment, software licences and internet connection.
  • You are responsible for your own taxes, registrations and any fees in the country where you live.
  • You may work for others, provided you keep our material confidential and don't use it for anyone else.

05Projects and assignments

  • You only work on projects we assign to you, and you can only see projects you're a member of.
  • Editors can start a video once its project is ready for edit. Producers prepare research, scripts and assets before that.
  • Follow each project's brief, script, the Hub's guidelines and training, and any channel or client style rules we share.
  • We may change, reassign, pause or cancel a project or a video at any time, for example when a client's plans change.

06Deliverables, deadlines and reviews

  • Each video has a due date. Submit your export through the Hub on or before it. Every upload is kept as a numbered version.
  • We review each submission and either approve it, with a rating from 1 to 5, or request changes with notes. Revise and resubmit until it's approved.
  • If something puts a deadline at risk, tell us through Support as early as you can.
  • Late or low-quality work affects your rank, and repeated problems may lead to warnings, reassignment of the video, or suspension.

Material you deliver must be your own work, or material you have the right to use under the brief (for example music, stock or fonts we provide or that are properly licensed).

07Payment

  • You are paid per approved video. Each project shows a per-video editor rate and a per-video producer rate before you start.
  • When a video is approved, the editor on it earns the editor rate, and the project's producer rate is split equally between the producers on that project.
  • Videos that aren't approved (including cancelled, unfinished or reassigned work) don't earn, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • Earnings appear in your Hub as pending and are marked paid once we send them. Amounts are in US dollars.
  • Keep your payout details accurate. We aren't responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect details, and fees charged by your bank or payment provider are yours.
  • A rate change doesn't affect videos that were already approved. We may correct or void payout items created in error or through a breach of these terms, and we may add adjustments.

08Intellectual property

Everything you create for a project, including edits, exports, project files, scripts, concepts, research, graphics and other deliverables (the Work), is created for Trifid on a work-for-hire basis. To the extent the law doesn't treat it that way, you assign all rights in the Work to Trifid (and, where a project is for a client, to Trifid for the benefit of that client) as it is created: worldwide, for the full term of those rights, in all media, with no further payment beyond the per-video amounts above.

  • Where an assignment isn't possible, you grant Trifid and its clients an exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use, adapt and publish the Work.
  • To the extent permitted by law, you waive moral rights in the Work, or agree not to assert them against Trifid or its clients.
  • Raw footage, scripts, briefs, brand assets and channel material we give you remain the property of Trifid or its clients.
  • Once a video is publicly published, you may show it in your portfolio by linking to the public video. You may not re-upload, share source files, or show unreleased work without our written approval.

09Confidentiality

Confidential information includes raw footage, scripts, briefs, unreleased videos, channel analytics and revenue, client identities and plans, rates, and information about other creators on the Hub.

  • Use it only to do the project you were assigned. Don't share, post, leak or discuss it outside the Hub.
  • Don't upload it to AI tools, file-sharing services or other platforms unless the brief allows it.
  • Delete local copies when a project is finished, or sooner if we ask.
  • These duties continue after your account ends.

10Conduct and acceptable use

  • Be respectful to our team and other creators. Harassment, discrimination and abuse aren't tolerated.
  • Don't plagiarise, or submit work that infringes anyone's rights or breaks platform rules such as YouTube's Community Guidelines.
  • Don't try to access projects, files or data you weren't given, bypass security, scrape the Hub or share your access.

11Warnings and ranks

We may issue a notice, a warning or a final warning, for example for quality, deadlines, conduct or policy reasons. Warnings appear in your Hub and must be acknowledged.

Ranks are calculated from speed, quality and performance as described on our home page. We may set or lock a rank manually in exceptional cases. A rank doesn't guarantee a volume of work or a particular rate.

12Suspension and termination

  • We may suspend your account while we look into a concern, or after a breach of these terms. A suspended account can be reinstated.
  • We may terminate your account permanently for serious or repeated breaches, fraud, or confidentiality violations. Termination ends access immediately.
  • You can stop working with us at any time by contacting us, after finishing or handing back videos you've started.

Approved videos completed before your account ends are still paid, unless the payout relates to fraud or a serious breach. The sections on intellectual property, confidentiality, liability and governing law survive the end of your account.

13Affiliate program

  • Eligibility. The program unlocks when you first reach Diamond rank or above. Once unlocked it stays unlocked, but we may disable it for an account that misuses it.
  • Your code. You get a personal referral code and link. A referral only counts if the person signs up through your code or link. Referrals can't be added afterwards.
  • Bonus. You earn $20 for each person you referred whose application is approved. Sign-ups that are pending, rejected or never confirmed don't earn.
  • Direct only. Bonuses are paid on people you refer directly. There is no second level, and there is one bonus per referred person.
  • Monthly cap. Bonuses are capped at $1,000 per referrer per calendar month, in Dubai time. Approvals over the cap are still recorded but pay nothing.
  • Fraud. Self-referrals aren't possible. Bonuses from fake, duplicate or incentivised accounts, spam, or referrals made by pretending to be Trifid staff are voided, and may lead to suspension.
  • Bonuses are added to your payouts. We may change or end the program with notice in the Hub. Bonuses already earned are honoured unless voided under these rules.

14Availability of the Hub

We work to keep the Hub available and secure, but it's provided as is, and there may be downtime for maintenance or reasons outside our control. Keep your own copies of work in progress until it's submitted.

15Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Trifid isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost opportunities, and our total liability to you is limited to the amounts paid to you through the Hub in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

16Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top of this page, and tell you in the Hub or by email about material changes before they take effect. If you keep using the Hub after that, the updated terms apply.

17Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. The courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
